Congratulations to our 'STAR Caregiver' award winners!
And THANK YOU for your generous support of TWC-SV

Thank You!
With your help we surpassed our goal and raised more than $38,000 while recognizing some 22 individuals for outstanding caregiving. In addition, Leiter's RX Pharmacy received the special Gold Star Business Award, the single honor The Wellness Community-Silicon Valley presented to a business.

Proceeds from the event (See Photo Gallery) will go toward building a home for TWC-SV, where individuals and families can find resources and support as they address issues of cancer in their lives.

More than 300 people attended the Nov. 12 event at Villa Ragusa honoring professional, volunteer and family caregivers. The honored caregivers are: Mervat Ahmad, Bob Albrecht, Linda Ankeny, Nancy Barnicoat, Elizabeth Bettencourt, Erin Brennock, Joma Briones, Jeannie Caton, Noma Collins, Ph.D., Sr. Patrice Coolick, Becky DiManto, Frederick Dirbas, MD, Paul Gardner, Holly Gautier, Steve Lai, MD, Holly Lee, Adam Meyers, Karen Nolan, Helen Marchese Owen, Luana Rivera Palacio, Debbie Politi, Janet Riddell, and Marsha Wadley, EdD.

Each honoree has made a significant difference in the life or lives of cancer patients and their loved ones.

TWC-SV especially thanks the generous table sponsors who contributed extra dollars, including Palo Alto Medical Foundation-Camino Division, Stanford Cancer Center, Synopsys, Valley Medical Foundation, and Leiter's RX Pharmacy.

The STAR Caregivers Awards recognize and support the work of individuals and organizations that provide care that makes a difference in the quality of life for cancer patients and their loved ones. The program is a fundraiser for The Wellness Community - Silicon Valley, which provides education and support services at no charge to individuals and families facing cancer. The Wellness Community Silicon Valley is a 501 (c)(3) organization.
